Wow, because what #developers really need is a "skill" to make #AI #bots write mind-numbingly #boring tech docs in a dialect only a tiny subset of engineers understand 🙄. Let's just hope the same AI isn't used to generate your next love letter or you'll be left explaining ASD-STE100 to your grandma while she rolls her eyes 👵📜.

Just come across this nice vid that introduces the Diátaxis approach to #TechDocs. I'd always thought it looked cool was but unsure what it meant.

Addressing critical needs driven by the dynamic world of #techDocs, Manny Silva has created Docs as Tests, a system that integrates well-developed #techComms practices and a collection of engineering tooling to help #technicalWriters streamline and constantly improve their software #documentation and #QA work.
This was a fun chat with a deeply experienced Silicon Valley #content veteran. I hope you enjoy the conversation as much as I did.

💻🤖 Behold: the breathtaking journey of compressing tech docs into incomprehensible gibberish, because who needs context when you can have chaos? 😵💫 GitHub's latest #innovation in ensuring your #documentation is as elusive as #Bigfoot in a tech conference. 👾

🚀 Struggling with fragmented API documentation across multiple products?
Want to improve your developer experience and reduce support requests?
Check the presentation below where I unveil a strategic approach to unify and enhance API documentation tailored for large organizations facing scattered API docs and inconsistent standards across products. 📚
In this presentation, I cover:
✅ Auditing existing documentation for consistency.
✅ Creating a unified style guide and using automated tools.
✅ Building a centralized documentation portal.
✅ Collaborating with diverse stakeholders for a cohesive strategy.
If you're a documentation manager, a product manager, or a technical writer looking to streamline your API docs and empower internal teams and external developers, this is for you!
If you have any questions, doubts, suggestions, or feedback, feel free to leave a comment.

Documentation and content everywhere. Does anyone know of an open source documentation indexer / portal thingy that can aggregate different sources and present in a single UI? The output would be a card per "content piece" with title, description and perhaps 1 sentence summary. I know backstage tech docs can do Github repos but wondering if there's something that can also do blog posts and web pages.

Developer folks....
If you want to describe that a project has been fixed for all the errors found by a static analysis tool up to a certain level, how would you say it?
Ex:
"This project is ______ for #PHPStan level 6."- fixed
- valid
- passing
- correct

I'm Carolyn Van Slyck, a developer at #Microsoft, and I work in #OpenSource, building developer tools and sustainable inclusive communities around them. 🌈
I write code all day but also love geeking out on #DevEx , #TechDocs with excessive commas, and tricking people into collaborating with me on projects.
I'm excited to learn what people are up to, boosting cat pics, and communicating through movie references, emoji, and gifs.
