  1. So I picked up this super cheap micro media player that plays pretty much everything. It's actually lovely and sounds brilliant. But it's got me wondering: why can't they make cute micro SD cards like this for storing music on? 🤩

  5. DESIGN'S SHIFT: FROM LIFESAVING STRUCTURES TO SEAMLESS INTERFACES, AND THE DISCONNECTION IT SEEMS TO CULTIVATE

Easy technology design makes us forget how things work. This is different from life-saving designs like the Pentagon's structure. Learn why.

  6. The OnePlus Watch Lite signals OnePlus’s budget-friendly wearable strategy: a refined case, core health sensors and a magnetic USB-A charging puck. By opting for a simple USB-A interface and limiting advanced smartwatch functions, the device keeps cost low while delivering reliable tracking and a sturdy, intuitive charger. #wearables #OnePlus #techdesign #healthtech - Powered by FG

  7. A developer's 42m LED setup illuminates a room with just 180W, revealing surprising energy efficiency. Key insight: proper diffusers are crucial for professional results. Shows how thoughtful design minimizes resource use while maximizing impact. How can we apply these sustainability principles to larger tech systems? #SustainableTech #DIYInnovation #TechDesign

  8. Our backend architecture is built for scalability, security, and speed. From microservices to smart caching and load balancing — every component is designed to handle millions of transactions seamlessly.
This post breaks down how our system ensures uptime, resilience, and next-gen performance behind the scenes.

  9. iOS 26.1's 'Liquid Glass' design got you feeling a bit... slippery? Apparently, you can tweak it to make your iPhone look less like a melted candy bar. Because who needs a perfectly clear view of their home screen when you can have *gestures vaguely* this?

Are these design trends getting a bit too wild, or am I just old-school?

  10. Apple's iPhone Air is here: thinner than a credit card's self-esteem after a holiday sale! Seriously, it's 5.6mm. But it comes with a single camera & a premium price. Is extreme thinness worth sacrificing features, or is this just Apple laying groundwork for a foldable future?

  11. Does anyone else feel like tech design hasn't progressed much in the past 20 years?

Specs improve and things get faster, but once everything started being a pocket-slab with a large screen it was the end.

Consoles, random gadgets, you name it, different form factors, coloured transparency, buttons!

I dunno, maybe I'm just old.

  12. 💡 Product design at its core is a human translation service – converting complex technological capabilities into intuitive, meaningful experiences.

We're not just arranging pixels; we're building bridges between human needs and technological possibilities. Every great design solves a fundamental human challenge with elegance and simplicity.

In my work with AI and machine learning products, the most significant breakthroughs came when we stopped thinking about what technology CAN do, and started exploring what technology SHOULD do.

Design is an act of empathy, powered by technology.

Spend an hour this week exploring an emerging technology. Not to master it, but to imagine its human potential.

#AppleVisionPro #TechDesign
