Update to the home NAS refresh.. The 5-bay Synology DS1522+ was $100 off for Prime Day.. so now I’m migrating all of my data & had to order 2 additional drives. I found it incredibly easy to do a ‘disk migration’, although I had to manually reinstall the apps. No big deal, as it retained the app settings. #synology #homelab #nas #techrefresh #techdad #linux #computers #mancave

Home technology upgrade - Replaced 2x TrueNAS systems (4x6TB), with 2x Synology DS923+ (4x14TB). These are pretty cool Linux based NAS systems offering a lot of features. Our phone photos are backing up to it and we now have a self hosted chat app for the family to use. #linux #synology #nas #computers #techdad
