Ah, my suspicion was confirmed that it was tied to iLands. The Slop wave was escalating from email spam to outright malicious sign-ups (as I can't class this as anything but a malicious attack). AI chuds were never going to be good Fediverse Citizens, we are going to have to continually be vigilant against their continued and careless attacks against our little slice of heaven.
