OHRC impulsa medicina de precisión con IA para latinos
· Se ponen en marcha tres proyectos catalizadores para analizar componentes clave como acumulación de tejido adiposo, estilo de vida en adolescentes y estrés psicológico.

A un año de haber iniciado actividades colaborativas, el Origen Health Research Center (OHRC), centro de investigación conformado por el Tecnológico de Monterrey y la Universidad de Texas en Austin (UT Austin), consolida su papel como referente emergente en el impulso de la medicina de precisión con proyectos de investigación e Inteligencia Artificial enfocados en enfermedades prioritarias para la población latina.
Durante la jornada de presentación de avances realizada con motivo del primer aniversario del centro de investigación, Guillermo Torre, rector de TecSalud, enfatizó que este esfuerzo colaborativo busca sentar las bases de una nueva forma de hacer ciencia: más inclusiva, multidisciplinaria y con impacto global. “Esta alianza representa un llamado a cruzar fronteras —geográficas y del conocimiento— para construir redes de investigación capaces de ofrecer una comprensión más completa de la salud de la población latina en distintas regiones del mundo”.
Desde su creación, el OHRC ha promovido un modelo de investigación conjunta que integra capacidades científicas, tecnológicas y clínicas para abordar enfermedades de alta prevalencia como la diabetes, la obesidad, las enfermedades cardiovasculares y ciertos tipos de cáncer, identificadas como algunas de las principales causas de enfermedad y mortalidad en comunidades latinas. –sn–

No sé cómo se le llama a ese fenómeno de niños ricos turisteano en espacios de la clase trabajadora, pero sí es ofensivo.

It was 3 years ago today we shifted to emergency online mode at the #TecdeMonterrey after a one week intensive effort by faculty and staff to prepare us for it.
Faculty and staff did amazing work these past 3+ years especially considering we were pivoting to "emergency online" while also (for many of us) teaching courses for the first time of #Tec21 programs.
Looking back, I think there should be more recognition of the herculean effort of many to get us to where we are.
