Perfect way to end @crowdsupply #Teardown2023: @nanographs tore into a decapped iCE40 FPGA with a focused ion beam and imaged the cross section with a Scanning Electron Microscope. The signals were converted to a digital image by some purple PCBs and the iCE40 on the Glasgow 💜

That's a wrap at #teardown2023! We are heading to Kpub grill and beer tap for delicious Korean food, then at 8 we are going down the road to Retro Game Bar for cocktails and fun. Anyone is welcome to join us and nerd out!

@joeycastillo walked through how Sensor Watch maximizes the perphials on a SAM L22 to eliminate the need for external ICs. (Also, TIL about the configurable logic unit—I can’t wait to play with those.) @crowdsupply #teardown2023 https://www.oddlyspecificobjects.com/products/sensorwatch/
-
I can't even wait until his talk is finished to post how how amazed and fascinated I am by @joeycastillo 's talk about how to make a SAMD or SAML microcontroller act as pretty much every peripheral besides a kitchen sink, and I wouldn't be surprised if he's able to come up with "kitchen sink" mode too!!! #teardown2023

@charlyn #Pixelblaze creator (and enabler/dealer of my LED addiction), @benhencke, gave a great talk about his experiences starting a maker-based business, with a lot of insight for others considering doing the same. #teardown2023
-
Some other highlights from (ongoing) #teardown2023: @charlyn's LED jewelry and art installation is stunning and absolutely next level, and her talk on how to be "Casually Glowy" was engaging and fun and filled with her gorgeous creations.

Just finished my 1st day at #teardown2023. I ran a workshop to make and code LED lanyards with #circuitpython, and set up an installation (shown in the video) of a few blinky/glowy projects. Now I get to relax and enjoy all the other workshops and talks this weekend!
