I wrote this piece, in response to the announcement by the "teals" to form a party. I hope they learn something from the mistakes of the past.
How are they going to listen?
That is the question on my mind. What about you? -

To hear the silent majority—not just those with the most time, money, or loud voices—we must move beyond simple meetings to random-sample Citizens’ Juries. Let’s build a methodology that listens to everyone, not just the loudest. -

Just a side thought for those who vote #green and those who don’t. They have a lot of voters in Australia and while you are willing to believe or not believe the misleading of #onenation they also have a lot of voters. All of these voters combined suggest that a large percentage of Australians who think both major parties are garbage. Let that sink in. Then add all the seats being won by the so called #teals.
So no matter how much #albanese and #labor control the running of this country all those people of Australia listed above don't like them but don't like them less then the fast disappearing #coalition.
Why is this case: mainly because both major parties don't listen to voters they listen to lobbyists. They are lazy.

Just took time out to view/listen to Hannah Ferguson ‘s National Press Club speech (and Q&A… even better) on YouTube, and I got to say: what a powerhouse! Once I got used to her machine-gun delivery, I was captured. A bright, strong, enthusiastic woman. What an excellent role model. I hope she achieves her goals because if she does, she’ll go far.

Zoe Daniel wants you to think about our values and history, and the regional implications for ANZUS, AUKUS, Five Eyes, NATO's slow and rudimentary action to help defend Ukraine from Russia, and more.

It has always been that Labor views the Greens as vote thieves. No matter that Green preferences go to Labor (for want of a better choice). I like to think that the Greens are rally flags for disaffected Labor left-wing supporters in the same vein in which the Teals are for the LNP’s small “L” Liberals. To me, this indicates a failure by the major Parties to stick to their Roots, at their peril. (I’m not going to die on this hill though)

Peter Dutton has guaranteed that his inner city colleagues will get smashed by Teals in the upcoming election.
Discuss.
(People thought the Teals were done, having reached the peak of their influence. Dutton has just given them the keys to Parliament imho)

The dishonesty here is galling. Teals are Greens voters? How would you know? Minority government is bad for the country? Or is it just bad for you as a dinosaur of a dying political dichotomy?
Why would anyone vote for Ol' Spud? The voters of Dickson are a perplexing bunch. Is there no alternative that would represent your electorate better? Maybe an #independent?
