#Lehre #Neuroscience #3DModels #Organoids #TeachingInnovation

On April 14, 2025, TALIC hosted the seminar “Extending the Classroom: Teaching with Virtual Reality in Higher Education” at HKU, featuring Prof. Peter J. Cobb from the Faculty of Arts and facilitated by Prof. Lillian Luk.
Drawing on pedagogical research and VR-based archaeology teaching, Prof. Cobb shared how immersive technologies can boost students’ engagement, enhance spatial and visual learning, and simulate fieldwork experiences—especially through 3D reconstructions of ancient sites.
Participants discussed VR’s educational value, including its potential across disciplines, and had the chance to try out VR headsets in action. The seminar also addressed real-world challenges like cost and accessibility.#HKU #TALIC #VRinEducation #DigitalHumanities #TeachingInnovation #ImmersiveLearning #VirtualReality #ExperientialLearning #HKUevents #HigherEdTech #HKUer
