  2. 🚨 BREAKING: #Google unveils "Teachable Machine" – because training a #neural network with cat photos is obviously a revolutionary concept that nobody in #Silicon #Valley saw coming. 🙄 Now you too can feel like a top-tier #AI engineer by dragging and dropping files with the proficiency of a toddler. 🍼✨

  3. @donnywals Is it just me or does #teachable not work on #AppleTV? I can see the course videos on my iPhone and iPad but if I try and #AirPlay to Apple TV, there is a player stuck at zero:zero with a red slash circle icon.

  4. This is really a #teachable moment for anyone in #gameDev I think, see boost. #audiodescription is an #accessibility feature that is mostly used by the #blind, as it describes audibly what's happening visually. The inclusion of this feature, therefore, sends a message that this demographic was at least considered when creating the #game in question. Creating audiodescription costs valuable time and resources, which makes sense if the game is meant to be #accessible. If it's not, though, where does that leave us? Was the intention to allow the blind to watch another person play the game more effectively? Is it merely a consequence of other games adding it as well, taken out of context and into a vacuum? Perhaps simply a token effort? I guess we'll never know. But I think this review clearly demonstrates that when audiodescription is included, the target demographic expects to actually be able to PLAY, not just WATCH, a game. this is not a movie, after all.

  5. Kuile's "The Power of Ritual" has been on my radar as an anthro-adjacent popular book for some time. Its now discounted to 4 bucks - a sign it has less legs that publishers hoped? I like the message but disagree with a lot of the argument, I think. Might pick it up looking for #teachable chapter in it.

  6. Here is a great short summary of Eckstein and Schwarz's ambitious new (and credible) reinterpretation of Tupaia's Chart -- the famous map made for Captain Cook by the Polynesian nobleman Tupaia which demonstrated how vast Pacific Islander's knowledge of their region was. #teachable
