One should always question existing orthodoxy and think beyond the received wisdom.

The topic of trauma tourniquets is almost endlessly discussed, with most "experts" firmly in the "only use a Committee on Tactical Combat Casualty Care approved tourniquet" camp. e.g. a CAT tourniquet.

However, recent research _may_ indicate that these types of inelastic tourniquets are not necessarily the best for maintaining pressure during blood loss and fluid shifts.

Intraosseous injections (direct into the bone) are extremely painful and due to this really only used on unconscious patients. However, the mechanism of action is very fast, with administered medicines entering the bloodstream in seconds.

A new ground-based towing #drone appeared in #Ukraine. It was created by Volodymyr Yatsenko, the developer of the Dovbush UAV .

The drone is capable of evacuating a person weighing up to 100 kg, up to a distance of 10 km. The towing drone has a protected radio channel, HD video, repeater & four engines. Remote control is achieved using the "Dovbush" system based on UAVs. The model is being prepared for serial production.

Worth mentioning regarding securing an i-Gel (discussion & demonstration at around 23:40) is that newer i-Gels are already supplied with a securing strap. Know your kit! Also, an alternative to oxygen tubing to secure would be a length-ways folded triangular bandage.
