Why do #planes have headlights? I was just driving home from work and an #aircraft caught my attention. It’s a beautifully clear night #tonight, and I could see the blackness of the sky lit up by the beam of this plane’s headlight. They’re at about 7000ft when they pass over me en route to #MAN, but I have to wonder what’s the point? If they see another aircraft then #TCAS has failed spectacularly, so what exactly is the reason?
