#OTD Nathaniel Lord Britton, American #Botanist & #Taxonomist, is born.He married the famous #Bryologist Elizabeth Gertrude Knight.
Inspired by Kew Gardens, the couple co-founded the New York Botanical #Garden (#NYBG).The botanist Henry #Rusby recounted seeing beautiful #Botanical drawings on Nathaniel's desk.
"[After he said] he was the #Artist, I asked, 'Can you #Draw like that?'
He said, 'Why do you suppose I did all that hard work in drawing class?'"

Went to a grocery store & they segregated the conventional bread from the organic bread & put the collection of bagel & buns in the middle. As a #taxonomist & budding #ontologist this really bothered me. As a consumer I thought they were all out of organic bread.
