  4. #Billionaires with $1 salaries – and other legal tax dodges the #ultrawealthy use to keep their riches

Billionaires can enjoy growing wealth entirely free of income tax and reporting

    By Ray Madoff
    Published December 28, 2025

Excerpt: "Elon Musk received a salary of $0 from Tesla in 2024. Jeff Bezos earns $81,840 a year of income, low enough to get the child tax credit, which he took in 2021. One of our higher-paid billionaires is Warren Buffett, and he only gets $100,000 a year in salary and bonus combined.

All of these people are keeping their taxes down by keeping their salaries down. They are not avoiding compensation altogether, however, as they are well paid through the growing value of their stock. In 2024, Bezos’ wealth increased by $80 billion, Zuckerberg’s by $113 billion, Musk’s by $213 billion. Even better, they can enjoy this growing wealth entirely free of income tax and reporting."

  5. If the fine is lower than the taxes would have been, then it's little more than a time-delayed coupon. Jail executives until corporate crime is not commonplace.

The hashtag #TaxDodgers doesn't seem to be used much but #TaxTheRich is very full.
    I'd put them under #BillionaireCunts .

  7. 🚨 BREAKING: The ultra-wealthy are apparently allergic to paying taxes and are fleeing the UK faster than you can say "offshore account." 🌍💸 The Wall Street Journal seems to have misplaced its article, much like the rich misplace their tax obligations. 📉🔍

  8. The Australian government just approved Woodside's gas project extension until 2070, effectively giving them $215 billion worth of gas for free while Aussie punters pay some of the world's highest energy prices. Corporate media covered it as "activists vs government" drama, completely ignoring that we're literally handing our wealth to tax-dodging gas cartels who don't even pay royalties #auspol #Woodside #gascartel #gas #taxdodgers

  9. IRS Expects $50 Billion Return by Closing Loophole Exploited by the #SuperRich

"Thanks to President Biden and Democrats in Congress, a well-funded IRS is closing a loophole to make the rich pay their taxes," said Sen. Elizabeth Warren.

    by Jake Johnson
    Jun 17, 2024

"Sen. #ElizabethWarren (D-Mass.) applauded the IRS' step, writing on social media that the Biden administration is "right to end these shell games."

"'The #superwealthy use complex #TaxSchemes to avoid paying what they owe,' Warren wrote. 'Thanks to President [Joe] Biden and Democrats in Congress, a well-funded IRS is closing a loophole to make the rich pay their taxes.'

"IRS funding provided by the #InflationReductionAct—a Democratic measure unanimously opposed by the congressional #GOP—has allowed the agency to more aggressively pursue rich #TaxDodgers whose more complicated returns require greater resources to audit than those of working-class Americans, who were audited at a higher rate than millionaires under the #Trump administration.

"Republican lawmakers are currently trying to slash IRS funding and scrap a free online tax-filing system that the agency launched this year. As The Hill reported earlier this month, House Republicans have proposed cutting IRS funding for fiscal year 2025 by $2.2 billion, specifically targeting enforcement resources.

"The IRS estimated earlier this year that if Republicans don't succeed in rolling back funding increases, the agency could collect roughly $560 billion from big #corporations and rich tax cheats over the next 10 years."

  10. Well done HMRC. Tax dodging by the ultra-rich seems to be down 50%. Great work.

Er... you mean HMRC have just halved the number of offshore, corporate and wealthy investigations into massive tax avoidance over last 5 years?

Oh... and HMRC haven't brought a single charge against any tax-dodging corporation or company? Ever.

Aww... HMRC reckon that the 5% of tax they don't collect is only £36 billion a year. (Hardly worth collecting, really!)

Ah.... More importantly, isn't it time we cracked down on all those single-mother benefit claimants who are ruining the UK with their scrounging. Just think of the £100s we could save by making their lives even more desperate?

  12. While prosecutions for benefit fraud are on the increase, you would think that in an fair and equal country, tax evasion by the rich would be also prosecuted with the same zeal.

    Not in the UK.

In the last 5 years there’s been a 67% fall in HMRC investigations of the rich leading to prosecutions for tax evasion. Only 11 rich tax dodgers were prosecuted in the last 5 years.

This is deliberate. And the same tax dodgers are the ones clamoring for tax cuts from their mates in the Tory government.

  16. This current UK conservative government is the most corrupt in modern history. Totally devoid of any moral compass, they see politics as a personal get rich quick scheme for themselves and their repugnant mates. Just one scandal after another. Please for the love of god kick these spivs and conmen out of office for good at the next election and never, ever vote for the conservatives ever again. #FuckTheTories #TaxDodgers #CovidLockdownParties #DontVoteConservative
