  1. When I lived in Denver in the early 70s, the #tatteredcover bookstore was a tiny storefront next to my barber shop on (I think it was) 2nd Ave in the Cherry Creek neighborhood. A woman named Joyce Meskis bought it and grew it into the great institution it is today. Anyone who loves books should visit it. Among its many virtues is the fact that it has chairs scattered throughout the store where you can actually sit and read a book you're interested in.
