I've just finished Tastefully Yours. It was shorter than any other KDrama I've watched but I really enjoyed it. I wasn't expecting to see Yoo Yeon-seok either, it was a nice surprise. It had some really funny moments and a great ending. 🙂 #TastefullyYours #KDrama -

So, finished Tastefully Yours tonight. Good straight ahead show. Somewhat believable love connection (as these things go). Actually got somewhat moving near the end as I saw the connections about family and parenthood. Kang Ha-neul was particularly good.

@hanktank61
The one thing that I particularly liked about #TastefullyYours was how well they portrayed the Jeonju Hanok Village. And they exist in multiple locations around the country, especially in Seoul and Busan. New businesses in the area must use the traditional style of construction. The food in Jeonju, home of bi bim bap, is excellent.
The Hanok Village is extremely touristy and I smiled to see the 4-leaf clovers like they featured in #QueenOfTears

@cinderdazzle612 it's a light and pleasant k-drama! I'm even more fascinated now by Korean culinary traditions 🥰
However the chaebol story line isn't totally convincing imho.Go Min-si was incredible, as always. This role wasn't as difficult as #YouthOfMay but she interpreted in a beautiful way.
The Buddhist temple was in a lovely location too!

Interactions with French and Korean customers.
Kang Ha-neul says the first French words correctly and then it's another language 😂
Dishes are precisely described in Korean but when it comes to French a simple "This is fusion between Korean and French cuisine" 😂
I get that the actors can't learn a language for a single episode in a #kdrama but why don't the #Netflix subtitles accurately translate from French?
"One of the best meals I had" =! "The best meal I had". 😂 -
CW: Tastefully Yours Ep 4, no spoilers
@kdramarama Yeah, it's definitely on long term hiatus for me. Might see when it's finished what people think and if it's worth picking up again. But for now there's much better stuff to watch... looking at you #OurUnwrittenSeoul :blobcatgiggle:

CW: Tastefully Yours Ep 4
:blobcatfacepalm: Most forced zero chemistry confession ever and then a (non consensual) kiss to top it off. 🙄
No surprise this has bombed in SK.

CW: Tastefully Yours Ep 4, no spoilerish
They could drop the ML (damned he is annoying) or at least the romance aspect and this show would improve. 😅

CW: Tastefully Yours Ep 5
@kdramarama BTW, is the show going anywhere. I was about to start ep 4 but got sidetracked by #NinePuzzles and #OurUnwrittenSeoul (among other things).

CW: Tastefully Yours Ep 5
@kdramarama I’m starting to suspect that this show is just an elaborate marketing campaign for Korean cuisine 😅
-
@whoosh Hmm, is this why #TastefullyYours hasn't really hooked me. 😅 It feels a bit too straightforward, shouty and unsubtle. (or perhaps I'm only back projecting now :blobcatgiggle: )

CW: Tastefully Yours Ep 1&2
Bit slow start for setup in ep 1. Ep 2 seems to pick it up a bit. Not all characters in place yet to see how the dynamics is going to be.
Wonder if Go Min Si is going to bring out the crazy from The Frog? :blobcatgiggle:

@kdramarama Heh, it was beaconing me on the home screen so just (6 min) started watching (my "currently watching list" is crying). Cute intro, power all knowing CEO… lets see where this is going.
