Taskbar с живыми превью работающих приложений (олдскул на NET11)
У вас тоже есть такая проблема на windows, что превью к таскбару не прилипает? Вот хочешь посмотреть (быстро и без переключения) — "что там скрипт/агент/отладчик прямо сейчас делают?" — наводишь на иконку в таскбаре и смотришь сильно прищуриваясь. Только мышку отвёл — и всё пропало. А раскладывать всё по сеткам windows‑окон сложно: во‑первых напрягает это делать на каждый запуск нового окна, во‑вторых при переключениях получается сюрреалистичная картина «поверх окон одного экрана висят половинки/четвертинки другого». А тут у меня несколько параллельных процессов по несколько часов и я во время работы поймал себя на постоянных переключениях между окнами, что сильно отвлекает. Решил что «хватит это терпеть» и запилил (через Claude) маленькое приложение, которое решает всю проблему — montab (Monitoring Tab). Поскольку это windows и нужны прямые системные API — решил делать на NET11. А потом оптимизировать, чтобы размер был минимальный и без всяких зависимостей. Смотреть что получилось

Launcher (Panellauncher / Starter / Anwendungssymbole) lassen sich auf der Leiste (Panel) individuell gruppieren, z. B. nach Thema oder Usecase. Das fördert die Übersichtlichkeit, schafft Platz, vereinfacht und beschleunigt die Nutzung.

Just heard Microsoft is making the Win11 taskbar movable.
It took them nigh FIVE YEARS and (I'm not exaggerating) I moved Win10>Linux a year ago as they had publicly "identified" the ask when the OS had been in beta, and hadn't implemented it by early 2025. This was the proof to me that the canary was dead.
Yeah, there were copilot and ads, but without using the OS I couldn't imagine how it affected usability.
Not going back, though.

Ooh... Me like #KDE #Plasma 6.6 very much! This is a nice improvement over Plasma 6.5 and an incredible improvement over whatever version of Plasma that was shipped with #Kubuntu 25.10. Also, the #upgrade went pretty smooth. No show-stoppers. The only thing I don't like is that the #taskbar at the bottom has a bunch of wasted space around the taskbar. I mean, aesthetically it looks nice but screen pixels are finite and precious. I'd prefer not to have any wasted space if I can help it.

Windows 11 gaslit me with ghost icons. Clearing icon cache did nothing. SFC and DISM? A joke, like always.
Finally found the culprit: a 10-year-old registry from "shellex". Banished the ghosts with a simple rename.

Windows has PERSISTANT bugs in the "autohide" function for its Task Bar that drive me nuts. I always want "autohide" on, and regularly access the task-bar by hovering at the bottom of the screen. It's part of my workflow. And it BREAKS, randomly, all the time. Earlier this week it broke and I can't fix it. Reboots, turning it off and on, my usual shortcut of minimizing all windows and clicking the desktop, all failed. I don't know why.
