Unfortunately @OmniFocus doesn't have a Linux App (and i don't want to use the webclient w/ a seperate subscription by the way...)

So i'm looking for a cross platform taskmanager, with end-to-end encrypted sync.
Anyone in the Fediverse found a good App?

I tried Superproductivity, but the sync was horrible, and the app is buggy ':(

I’ve fully switched to OmniFocus (The Omni Group) from Things (Cultured Code). The two driving factors were that OF can handle some more complex relationships than can Things; and better external access into OF’s data (in this case through an MCP).

Both are great. Things is perfect for most people. If not for my new needs, I would probably still be there.

I've been quiet for a while about TaskFrame... but that's because I've been hard at work on the first big update, 1.1!

- A reworked Upcoming view to show your tasks with even more context
- Location based alerts
- A reworked share extension that uses a local LLM to generate task suggestions

@SarraceniaWilds I've tried many--and used several--popular platforms over the years, and I'm currently content with the free tier of ToDoist. It's simple but flexible, easy and pleasant to use, and has just enough color-coding to feel attractive and organized. Also it's cross-platform.

Kto pilnuje tych co pilnują? Menedżer Zadań w Windows 11 sam się psuje i mnoży w tle

Menedżer Zadań to zazwyczaj ostatnia deska ratunku, gdy jakaś aplikacja w systemie Windows odmawia posłuszeństwa. Co jednak zrobić, gdy samo narzędzie ratunkowe zaczyna sprawiać problemy?

Użytkownicy, którzy zainstalowali najnowszą opcjonalną aktualizację Windows 11, zgłaszają absurdalny i ironiczny błąd: zamknięcie okna Menedżera Zadań wcale go nie wyłącza.

Jak donosi serwis ArsTechnica, problem jest jeszcze dziwaczniejszy. Każde kolejne otwarcie Menedżera Zadań (np. przez skrót Ctrl+Shift+Esc) tworzy w pamięci komputera zupełnie nowy, oddzielny proces „taskmgr.exe”, podczas gdy poprzednie wciąż działają w tle. Procesy te można mnożyć w nieskończoność, aż do wyczerpania zasobów systemowych.

Błąd został zauważony przez użytkowników (m.in. z Windows Latest) po instalacji opcjonalnej aktualizacji „preview” (KB5067036) dla systemów Windows 11 w wersjach 24H2 i 25H2. Na szczęście nie jest to łatka instalowana automatycznie – problem dotyczy więc głównie entuzjastów, którzy ręcznie włączyli w Windows Update opcję „uzyskaj najnowsze aktualizacje, gdy tylko będą dostępne”.

Pojedyncza instancja Menedżera Zadań w tle zużywa około 20 MB pamięci RAM i niewielką część mocy procesora (0-2%). Choć to niewiele, osoby często korzystające z tego narzędzia lub rzadko restartujące komputer mogą nieświadomie zgromadzić w tle dziesiątki takich „uśpionych” procesów. To z kolei może już odczuwalnie wpłynąć na ogólną wydajność systemu i czas pracy na baterii w laptopach.

Microsoft na razie nie skomentował sprawy, ale do czasu wydania oficjalnej poprawki, rozwiązanie problemu jest równie absurdalne jak sam błąd. Aby naprawdę zamknąć Menedżera Zadań, należy… otworzyć Menedżera Zadań, odnaleźć na liście procesów wszystkie zbędne instancje „Menedżera Zadań”, zaznaczyć je i wyłączyć (tak naprawdę wyłączyć) przyciskiem „Zakończ zadanie”.
