Bedingt durch die aktuelle RFI-Brennersperre verkehrt ein RJ-Zugpaar zwischen #München 🇩🇪 und #Venezia 🇮🇹 ab #Wörgl 🇦🇹 derzeit über Schwarzach St. Veit und #Tarvisio. Dabei bietet sich wieder die seltene Gelegenheit mit dem Railjet 2 durchs Val Canale zu fahren. Wegen zusätzlichen Bauarbeiten fährt das Zugpaar außerdem über die Umfahrungsschleife in Villach.

Ich liebe es, wenn sich vor meinen Reifen die Landschaften wandeln, und genau das macht die Etappe von Arnoldstein nach Gemona zu einem echten Erlebnis auf dem Alpe Adria Radweg. This used to be the border station until 2000: at this point in time the railway line was upgraded (i.a. double tracked) and moved to the other side of the valley to the, then new, station named “Tarvisio Boscoverde”.
