Vor 5 Jahren im Taroko Nationalpark - Taiwans Natur ist einfach atemberaubend.

und euch einen gesunden Start in diesen Donnerstag! -
A neat section where you go through one tunnel, have a roof over your head for a bit, then through another tunnel.
-
Occasionally you’d get a nice view of what’s coming.
This road is 500m below where I am. I tried to get a photo from the bottom looking up but while I could see it with my eyes, you’d really have had to look for it in a photo.
Anyways this wasn’t even close to the bottom.

Probably the quietest place I’ve been since I got here. A little rest area on the side of the road way up in the hills after 2 tunnels. In fact, between the two tunnels was probably even quieter.
-
Many places the road got even narrower than this. And it’s a highway. And was actually fairly busy!

Coming down through the clouds into Taroko Gorge. About 10m past this suddenly a rockfall roof came into view in full. Completely out of nowhere. Was super super cool.
Yes it was exactly as steep and far down as it looks.
Also I don’t know what it is about my fear of heights but put me on a 4th floor balcony and I nope out but a 200m drop next to the road I’m riding on? Nothing. Not even the slightest hint of fear.

80km of descent. Pour one out for my brake pads
