Speedily read through Phil Ford’s efficient, punchy novelisation of ‘The Waters of Mars’. Its plus points are that it expands on Adelaide’s childhood encounter with Daleks during the events of ‘The Stolen Earth’ and develops the connection between The Flood and The Ice Warriors. #DoctorWho #TargetBooks

#TargetBooks Just finished ‘Warriors’ Gate and Beyond’ by Stephen Gallagher.

When writing my Black Archive on Warriors’ Gate four years ago, Stephen kindly let me read his final draft of the then audio book version of his original scripts.

Loved it then and still do now it’s in print. Structurally different from the TV scripts and restores much of his jettisoned humour and characters.

This edition’s two short stories carrying forward Romana’s story are crisp, sharp, witty, terrific tales.

Yeah, so looks like I'll finally be opening that threatened Redbubble store for some of my designs. Surprisingly fiddly *and* it only goes live one you have five designs. So it may take a while before you can actually buy anything.
But here's a preview of the first set, that Orphan 55 "BENNI!" design I did.
I'll probably be doing one with the full mock up Target Books cover after, only available as a print.

I've messed about a bit more with Target Books covers, this time speculating about what a Meglos reissue would look like in the modern style

More complicated than it looks, as there's no picture of Meglos looking forward and/or holding the Dodecahedron like that.

But have just gone down a labyrinthine rabbit hole whilst looking into what else is out there!
About 2 lifetimes worth of books, comics, audios…..

I was aware of the obvious #DoctorWho threads - #Torchwood, Class, #TargetBooks, Sarah-Jane Adventures and the Doctors #BigFinish Audio.
But have just gone down a labyrinthine rabbit hole whilst looking into what else is out there!

It wasn't even my passing whim but after a few people were chatting about any Target cover for Orphan 55 needing to have "BENNI!" on it ala "KKLAKKK!" I kind of couldn't help myself.
