I got a rare treat tonight! I looked over and saw my elusive Chilobrachys sp. 'Electric Blue' out of its burrow. I snapped as many photos as I could without distrubing it too much and these are the four best.

My confirmed t #stirmi boy has just molted. He's so cute and starshaped still. Once he's fully grown he'll go back to the breeder for some sexy time but he's got time to grow (and live) still. #tarantula #TarantulasOfTheFediverse

The vendor I was miffed at for sending me the wrong species (Grammostola pulchripes) over two years ago offered me a very steep discount on a replacement which definitely took the sting out a little. It was delayed by FedEx for a day but arrived healthy and active today. Meet my new little Brazilian Black Tarantula (Grammostola pulchra)!
