My #C64 has a new toy: #Tapuino V0.43. With it you can pack your TAP files back onto a cassette - which I did tonight for a while. Using the amazing Slushload V3 on my PC, I converted a bit over 400kB worth of games (as PRG files) into TAP files and onto one side of a C20 cassette. I did not use the highest compression, so you can easily fit half a meg and even more onto that space, which is nothing short of amazing. I used a write speed that allows for a transfer rate of up to 740 Bytes per second. You can max it out at 1,5kB per second, but I have yet to find a #Datassette that works with that setting. Fast loading from a tape? This must be the future! 😎 #retrocomputing
