It's only been twelve days since snow was flying but my maples have quickly gone from gushing to dribbling. I'll be lucky to get a pint of syrup from my sap. But I'm not complaining. It's my syrup from my trees (as much as trees can be someone's, not their own) and I'm grateful for it. #maple #tapping #syrup

Finally got my trees tapped. It's a little late in the season but I couldn't even get to my trees before today. As it is, I'm exhausted from traipsing through knee deep snow. I'll have to watch for a set of used snow shoes.
The sap is solely for self consumption so we'll see what I get. #maple #sap #syrup #tapping -

BfEgee Makes You His Valentine Video!
Hey Flufferschnoots! It's Valentines Day today and I have an exclusive BfEgee roleplay to share with you! I produced this wholesome Valentines Day piece last year for my Flufferschnoots on YouTube and Patreon. When the YouTube channel got deleted, the video was lost to everyone. Now, it's back on my own self-hosted website! The card I used for the tapping noises was a pop-up card from Lovepop. They make really cute cards and gift sets. I highly recommend them! For anyone interested in tapping for grief but missed my section of 24 Hours of Tapping earlier this month, here's the link.
Our connection was a little weird due to severe thunderstorms on the east coast of the USA that day, but it's free!

CW: Shadow Work, Mental Health, & Healing. ❤️
To a degree, I agree with this image, but I think it goes a lot deeper than that. At no point in our journey do we ever reach a point where we're finished working on ourselves. There's always room to improve, become more #conscious & #SelfAware of not only our good traits but our harmful ones. This doesn't mean let people walk all over you or put up with #abuse. I think many people develop this kind of mentality because of their trauma-based experiences. That people feel their traumatic experiences are what made them the way they are & that's just how it is and always will be. This is a defensive response to protect the part of themselves that was hurt in the past so it doesn't happen again. But this isn't healing, nor is it moving forward.
Your negative experiences, #trauma, wounds, they don't need to define your #existence. The things you may have experienced in the past that shaped your character of today happened, & it is good that you acknowledge those things & acknowledge the dark side if your being. But the issue lies in getting stuck in that darkness, unpacking & living there, & never #healing from it. If we don't actually heal from it, the hurt, anger, bitterness, distrust, all the negative things we're harbouring inside of us gets reflected towards everyone else, because we are a *mirror* of what's going on in our #InnerWorld.
Healing is hard, because it requires #vulnerability, #SelfReflection, & recognizing things about yourself that are uncomfortable to admit, such as #toxic #BehavioralPatterns, #MentalHealth issues, #EmotionalIssues, even physical issues. So much of these issues are rooted in our #traumas & #insecurities. I never realized this until I started looking into #ShadowWork, but it's true. So much of these things are connected and stem from roots we never healed from. It can be a #journey in itself trying to remember what the roots are & get through all the layers of our being.
So I just want to conclude this post with a word of #encouragement to whoever needed to hear this today. You are capable of so much more than you realize. Your wounds happened, they were awful, but you don't need to let them define who you are or who you want to be. Embrace your #shadow, work with your shadow, send love to your shadow, but don't allow it to consume your entire being. You do not need to remain #trapped in this fragment of the #past. You are #worthy & deserving of #MovingForward, & living a life where you feel #happy & at #peace. ❤️ It is 100% possible to get there.
A few things that have helped me on my own shadow work journey that I'd like to share with you are:
» #EFT (#EmotionalFreedomTechnique / aka #Tapping). This is a process of tapping on certain #MeridianPoints while repeating #affirmations that address things you're emotionally struggling with. This is a known treatment for #anxiety and #PTSD. This practice helps with #EmotionalRelease, so if you feel you need to cry doing this practice, allow yourself to.
» #DreamWork. #Dreams are one of the best ways of uncovering what's going on in our inner world & is an incredible tool to get to know yourself on a deeper level. In my experience, my #CordAttachments & unhealed traumas often reveal themselves in dreams, via #dreaming about people, places, or circumstances that have connection to my past or caused me distress. Dreams are often extremely #symbolic & so as you become more observant of what your dreams are, you also need to analyze what certain #symbols in your dreams represent to you on a personal level. It is a very #intuitive process, & sometimes you'll just automatically know what something represents based on the feeling it gives you. Keeping a #DreamJournal is also really important as it will give you the opportunity to go back & reflect more if at first a dream doesn't make sense.
» Talk to someone you trust. My husband has been my rock through my shadow work journey. He might not have many answers for me, but just having someone to confide in & a shoulder to cry on is such a huge support during the process.
» Join shadow work #SupportGroups. #Facebook has some really great ones. It's a great way to connect with others who are also working through things. There are also people there who have overcome many of their traumas that can offer resources that got them through theirs. Sometimes just talking about it with these groups will help you put your own puzzle pieces together.
» #Reiki is another thing that helped me. I highly recommend seeking out a #Naturotherapist in your area who practices this. #Naturotherapy takes into account the mind, body, & SPIRIT, & our #spirit is such an important aspect of ourselves that is often ignored in the world of #ModernMedicine.
I hope this helps someone on their own healing journey. ❤️ If anyone has any questions about anything I've mentioned here, please don't hesitate to ask and I'm more than happy to answer the best that I can.😊

CW: Mental Health, Religious Trauma, Shadow Work
Something I've learned on my #ShadowWork #journey is that just because you moved on from something doesn't mean you necessarily found #healing.
My husband & I moved away from my home town for about 7 years. I mentioned it previously, but I grew up in a pretty strict religious household that caused me a lot of #religious #trauma. While we were away, I truly thought I moved on from everything in the past. I never dwelled on it or felt like I was carrying weight from it. But the year we moved back, it hit me like a ton of bricks on a deep #subconscious level.
Last year when we moved back, for months I had dreams relating to my traumas growing up. It all started with a dream where a dream character asked if I wanted to be blessed. Of course I said yes, who wouldn't want to be blessed?😂 But when she blessed me, it was like she expanded my awareness & my perception shifted inward. I could see & feel this intense dark cloud of icky energy inside me, & from the inside out I could hear myself screaming.
I woke up from that dream & after that I could feel that icky cloud of energy stuck in my #SolarPlexus #Chakra, I had awful #IntrusiveThoughts for awhile & often felt like I needed to throw up to purge the energy. I don't think the dream character put that dark energy there, I think she just made me conscious of what was always there & I had finally grown enough on my journey to be able to start healing it, so that dream brought that energy to the surface for easier release.
Over the next several months I had other dreams that all were connected to this process. I talked with my mom about it & the resentment I had towards my dad for religion related things that really hurt me in my upbringing. She said some things that really spoke to my #InnerChild that I needed to hear, & it helped me purge a lot of trapped emotional energy.
#EFT #Tapping was something that helped to bring about a #breakthrough moment as well. I did one specifically for #InnerChildHealing and this helped tremendously and caused a shift. It was like I could perceive myself as two different energies residing in one body; my child self, & my present self.
After 9 months of regular shadow work & a #reiki session, I feel like I've finally & truly resolved that aspect of my life & feel at #peace with the past, that was finalized with a dream & a release #ritual.
In this dream, I was standing in an open field on a cliff, just exploring, & I saw a beautiful butterfly fluttering towards me. It landed on me and stayed with me & I was so excited, it was like I made a new friend. I kept exploring with it, & there were moments it flew away & I was afraid I lost it, but it always came back to me & never left for long. I brought the butterfly to show my parents, & they both admired it. It sat on my hands, opened its wings & displayed it's unique colors; red on the top, white underneath. But then my father looked away, as though he were distracted by something & his awareness was elsewhere. While he was unaware, he grabbed the butterfly & crushed it like it was a piece of paper. This killed the butterfly, & I was so angry at my father for killing it. I told him I hated him for it. I don't remember any more of the dream, but when I woke up from it I realized what I needed to do.
I needed to forgive my father for what happened in the past, for killing that aspect of inner child, because he never intended to hurt me. That was apparent in the dream. His awareness was a elsewhere, #religion made him blind to a lot and he is not able to see the damage it has caused. I was bitter about it for a long time but I realize now that religion really does blind people. They can have the best intentions, but once religion takes hold of one's mind, it becomes a shackle & people don't see clearly anymore, they only see through the lens of religion. This realization softened me, & part of me mourns for my father, because of how much religion has robbed from his life & his time with family.
So I made a #butterfly that looked like the one in my #dream, & on the underside I wrote down everything I was ready to release, & burned it. I forgave my father for the past, took the ashes outside, & buried them. Then I created a brand new butterfly, representing the start of a new journey of exploration myself & my inner child will now explore together. This experience was a #metamorphosis, necessary preparation for the start of a new era. 🦋
This is how I've come to learn that just because we move on from something doesn't mean we have healed from the pain or released it. A lot of times we just repress & forget about it. I think #spirit removes layers of #repression when we finally reach a place in our journey & #consciousness that we're ready to handle those things resurfacing.
Shadow work is one of the most painful but rewarding experiences. It's a journey of going inward, into the darkness & bringing the light back in. 🌟
