In der Uni Bielefeld hängt dieses Plakat, das zu einem Instore-Konzert mit Dirk Darmstaedter (The Jeremy Days) einlädt – heute 19 Uhr zwischen Jahnplatz und Kesselbrink.
The Jeremy Days sind verantwortlich für den Radio-Hit, der mich durch die friedliche Revolution aus der DDR in die BRD begleitet hat. HR3 sei Dank. Wenn ich den Titel aufschreibe, werden viele von euch den Ohrwurm wieder haben: (She's My) Brand New Toy. Nicht der schlechteste Ohrwurm, den man haben kann; musikalisch gesehen.
Bis ich dieses Plakat sah, hatte ich keine Ahnung, dass die #Jeremys eine deutsche Band sind. Jetzt lese ich, dass die Band nach 27 Jahren ein neues Album veröffentlicht hat.
Der Name Dirk Darmstaedter war mir zwischendurch mal untergekommen, weil er #TapeteRecords gründete und z.B. Niels Frevert rausbrachte.
