New-to-me cassette deck from the late ‘80s has 2 different adjustments on the recording deck (only 1 on the playing deck). I assume that they control the speed of the 1x and 2x recording speed feature but of course no manual exits that I’ve seen for this Technics deck. Anybody seen something like this before?

There seems to be some mis-information about this cheap #cassette recorder. So I decided to do a quick tear down. No, it is not stereo, though the main chip does support it.

I was hoping to find a quick way to kill the noise. It sounds like it's picking up digital transmissions and static when using an AC adapter. Totally ruins recordings.
