  16. 🌀 Daily Tao Reflection – Chapter 17
When the Master governs, the people are hardly aware that he exists.

Next best is a leader who is loved.
    Then one who is feared.
The worst is one who is despised.
    🧵 (1/4)

  17. 🌀 Daily Tao Reflection 14

“Look, and it can’t be seen.
Listen, and it can’t be heard.
Reach, and it can’t be grasped.”

The Tao doesn’t hide. It just can’t be held.
Not a form. Not a sound. Not a thing.
    But you can be it.

    No beginning. No end.
No image, yet it shapes all images.
No name, yet it names all names.

  18. “Success is as dangerous as failure.
Hope is as hollow as fear.”

Climb or fall, the ladder is shaky.
    Stand grounded—stay balanced.

Hope and fear arise from ego.
Lose the self—what’s left to fear?

🌀 See the world as yourself.
    🌀 Love it as yourself.
    🌀 Care for all things.

  19. 🌀 Daily Tao Reflection #12

    Colors blind the eye.
    Sounds deafen the ear.
    Flavors numb the taste.
    Thoughts weaken the mind.
    Desires wither the heart.

    — Tao Te Ching, Chapter 12

    This one’s simple:
    Too much is too much.
    Overthinking dulls clarity.
    Overindulgence dulls joy.
Let go. Let it pass. Let it come again.

The truth is often in what we’re still enough to see.

  20. Tao Te Ching 11:
We work with being—but it’s non-being we use.
A house is useful because of its empty space.
A marriage is not just two people—but the space between them, the shared vessel they agree to fill.

Today, my baby cousin gets married.
I’m reminded: Love is not a structure—it’s the emptiness that makes the home.

  21. Daily Tao Reflection — Chapter 6

“The Tao is called the Great Mother: empty yet inexhaustible. It gives birth to infinite worlds.”

After writing about my mom yesterday, this hit hard.

I often feel hollow. Like my words don’t quite land.
Yet every morning, I wake up bursting with thoughts.
    ADHD? Autism? The Tao?

    Emptiness isn’t broken. It’s potential.
Inexhaustibility isn’t chaos. It’s the Way.

I think I am the Tao. Maybe you are too.

  22. “The Tao is like a well: used but never used up.
It is the eternal void filled with infinite possibilities…
I don’t know who gave birth to it. It is older than God.”
    — Tao Te Ching, Ch. 4

Emptiness is alive—an expansive landscape where mist and horizon outnumber form. A Taoist painting that shows us the silent birth of something that never ends, something older than God.
The Void is not empty—it is infinite potential, rooted in this moment.

  23. Ursula K. Le Guin: Lao Tzu: Tao Te Ching
A Book About the Way and the Power of the Way (Shambhala 1997) – Ostin tämän kirjan joitain vuosia sitten, kun sitä kehuttiin Takakansi-podcastissa. Kyseessä on klassisen kiinalaisen tekstin uusi tulkinta.
