Extremely pleased to report that after swapping out the SD card, my #Tangara works perfectly. No more skips, and even scrolling the directory list works better. The previous card was a brand new SanDisk Ultra, but it had horrible actual performance and might have been counterfeit. Test your media!

Tangara update! I did some more testing, and I think the actual source of the skipping / performance issues have been my SD card. It's a brand new sandisk 512GB, but I am finding corrupt files and terrible read throughput and latency. It sucks to have to throw it away and buy a new one, but it's clearly junk.
I'm tempted to craft a little script that could be included with the tangara source tree to test SD cards for this kind of error. (it also might help with triaging error reports!)

hm, where can i get #Tangara help?
I just updated mine from 1.5.0 to 2.1.0, and firmware in general seems to be working, but it's no longer detecting the SD card I was using.
(Yes, I updated companion first.)

For my understanding: if I wanted a custom touch wheel face plate and would also use a PCB as "material", I should not use any copper on the layers to not interfere with the EM field? Or won't it matter?
