I designed and built Tripwire: A new solution for anti evil maid defense: https://github.com/fr33-sh/Tripwire
If you have heard of Haven (https://github.com/guardianproject/haven), then Tripwire fills in the void for a robust anti evil maid solution after Haven went dormant.
Tripwire's GitHub repo describes both the concept and the setup process in great details. For a quick overview, read up to the demo video.
There is also a presentation of Tripwire available on the Counter Surveil podcast: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=s-wPrOTm5qo

I tried DIY #tamperevident techniques from @dys2p 's website
with popcorn kernels, ink and two ziplock bags
(Its all I had at the moment)Dousing the kernels in ink worked better than trying to swirl a marker in a bagful of the kernels
(you never know until you try right?)To get a "vacuum" I tried a sous vide technique tough better than without it was still loose
The kernels are too light to keep everything submerged even with a harddisk weighing it down so I had to compensate with some tapeThe result was a tight bag of kernels that looked somewhat like a coke brick.
From arms length you can see the mosaic but from further away it's harder to notice
But it still looks like it's hiding somethingFinding a better way to keep the kernels in place would be a big improvement
