It’s strange to be in a place - physically and mentally - where I’m neither always looking for The Mountain, nor on constant alert for The Big One.
#Illinois is flat and the trees are bare, but plentiful are the sun…and the stability of the earth.
Of course, snow and cold are, too. And I saw a storm siren today, a reminder that tornadoes happen here. But I’m visiting part of my chosen family, surrounded by their warmth.
