The garden lies at the foot of Mount Shiun and, at a good 75 hectares, is one of the largest in Japan. The south side is a classic Japanese garden with several ponds. The north side has a European influence, and you can even sit on the grass there in some places.

To not get burned to ashes by the sun I walked along inside some shopping streets.

1. You can find great foodstalls and shops there
2. No sun can burn you and you can't get wet
3. Some have really great decorations like these windows on top!

It was so cool inside!
I don't know how, but the older buildings like traditional, old houses (samurai houses), castles, etc. stay so cool and have a great airflow. It is awesome.

The 2nd name is Tamamo Castle (seaweed castle) as its moats are filled with seawater.

Marine Liner

The car at the Takamatsu end of all trains is a JR Shikoku 5000 series bi-level (double-deck) cab car with reserved seating, while the rest of the cars are normal local train cars.

The Marine Liner is the only Rapid service crossing the bridges while all the others are Limited Express trains.
So it is the cheapest train to travel between Takamatsu - Okayama!

As previously mentioned, my journey took me from Okayama across the Great Seto Bridge / Seto Ohashi Bridge to Takamatsu. During the nearly 20 minutes it takes to cross all bridges, one can enjoy the views.
