I started playing the new #TailsOfIron2 recently and I didn't expect such a big difference from the first entry.
Many more animations, smoother animations and more combat mechanics making it even more engaging.
Also the backgrounds have so much life, coming to the front on various occasions, e.g., during the prologue boss battle there's a bat band playing the music and you see some grunts that eventually come to fight you. Very charming!

I now have the daunting task of sorting and uploading the videos for #TailsOfIron because let me tell you, for a short game like that, there was a TON of boss fights there!
I'm also considering moving to PeerTube instead, because fuck Google.

Credits rolling for #TailsOfIron!
It's been a short but intense experience with plenty of bosses to fight (I'll be uploading the videos to YouTube in the next couple of days) and a very interesting story. I hope that in the sequel they make the backtracking a bit less tedious, though.
Now I want to go over the post-endgame content and the DLC!

And so Redgi has finally been crowned king of all the ratfolks, as I rolled credit on Tails of Iron earlier this morning before work (thank you Steam Deck, thank you).
I usually dislike the soulslike, with a passion, but this game hooked me in since the first few steps with its beautiful animations and the narrative.
Can't wait for Whiskers of winter!

I'm away from home for two weeks, so Nioh takes the back seat and I'm starting #TailsOfIron on the Steam Deck.
I'm finding it really interesting so far, I like the art direction and the combat! The first two bosses are down!

Okay. I've officially moved #TailsOfIron into my pile of shame. I had fun with it, I just think maybe it's a better 5 hour game than a 10 hour one.
I'm now playing (or will be tomorrow, cause I'm old and tired) #CloseToTheSun. I know nothing about it except that it's on a ship and I absolutely love stuff that's set on, or is about Ships.

Not sure if I'm going to complete #TailsofIron.
The games annoying little tendancies are starting to really get to me, and after a quick Google I've realised that I'm actually only about half way through the game, rather than in the final act.
So suddenly....it all seems like a bit more of a trial than I wanted it to be.

Biggest issue I'm running into over and over again with #TailsOfIron is that the game seems to want me to be able to do more with the somewhat limited toolset than the game allows me to.
Which is highly frustrating.

Game hasn't caused me much trouble so far but I've just ran into a fight that's taken me an hour so far and I'm not even getting close.
And honestly, I think it's a failing of the game more than anything. It wants me to be more... dextrous than the games movement allows.

#TailsOfIron is good. Seriously good.I love that kind of graphic, and I think the designers really outdid themselves. It has a gloomy atmosphere, in par with the story, and the story is amazing so far. The narrative is superlative, they did a wonderful job mixing the characters "voices" (they don't talk, they squeak!) with the visual hints and the narrating voice (Doug Cockle, aka the voice of Geralt of Rivia).
What I really found being a huge wall is the combat system. It's engaging but also very punishing at normal difficulty. It makes you go from being hooked to game following the main story to saying the game might be too hard and considering dropping it. As I said, this might be only a problem for me.

Slept well?Today I'll be at the office and seeing the daily schedule I have a few meetings ( 🤞 ), which means I can enjoy my #NintendoSwitch lunch break today as well.
I had to drop temporarily #TailsOfIron, combat mechanics are too punishing for me :dragon_crysmile: . I know there's a lower difficulty settings which basically let you enjoy the #story, but I always feel like playing normal difficulty, as the #creator of the game intended the game to be. Dunno, maybe it's just me, but lowering the difficulty seems like a rip-off.What's your stand about difficulty settings #gamers ?
