  1. Just a bunch of beads made from paper - to be more precise, from toothpaste boxes :D It was 2023, and I suddenly felt like reminiscing about childhood and making colorful beads.

  2. Ok, back to my useless handmade. These two fish keyholders were made to test out the sewing machine, but I like them nonetheless.

Also, they're upcycled: made from old jeans.

  3. A few more temari balls, made last year.

Here are three, but there are actually five of these with black-and-white patterns on the same orangish neon background.

All patterns are from temarikai.com/ - the best site about temari that I know.

  4. Rainsticks. All made a long time ago; the oldest one is probably 15 years old. Some are made of papier-mâché, some just from sticks and ropes, and all have paper towel rolls inside.

I don't know why I keep making them. There is something magical about their sound. There is also something magical about creating musical instruments literally from garbage.

  5. Generally, I'm not much of an embroidery person, but about a year ago I suddenly developed an affection for temari. They are very easy to make and can be spectacular.

I'm not quite sure what to do with them though :D Right now I have about 30 temari in different patterns, sizes and colours. Maybe put them all in a big transparent vase?

These are two temari I made last year.
