I think the gist of the matter is that a saint can live without politeness, and indeed that politeness is incompatible with a saintly character. But the man who is always to be sincere must be free from spite and envy and malice and pettiness. Most of us have a dose of these vices in our composition and therefore have to excerise tact to avoid giving offence. We cannot all be saints, and if saintliness is impossible, we may at least try not to be too disagreeable.

In particular the most infectious variant to date, #JN1 "with extreme immune evasion and suppression". In other words, this is the variant most likely to induce #immunodeficiency.
Anything that can cause "secondary" pneumonia is on the list, particularly in children and the elderly whose immune systems are already weakened.

Don't "change tact." "Tact" is sensitivity in dealing with people or situations, related to "tactile." To "tack" is to change a boat's course, from fasteners used to secure sails. So when we change approach or direction, we "change tack."
