I had a ton of fun at the #Warhammer #TacomaOpen Narrative campaign this past weekend, bringing my trusty #DeaethGuard (Now with 2 new Bloatdones with heavy blight launchers, now that they're actually any good - scratch that, _fantastic_. Gotta enjoy that hight while it lasts.). Went undefeated, with a tie and four wins.
Several players were new and I always love the welcoming vibe at narrative events. They're just so friendly and supportive - everyone's excited to share and teach.

Won both games today!
First game went very well against Tyrannids on kind of a jungle board.
Second game (against Chaos Space Marines with a Brass Scorpion) I got tabled, but won by a wide margin on points.
Both matches were similar, with my opponent having a huge, powerful central unit you have to just ignore and focus on everything else to win, which was funny. I went into both games figuring I had no chance, so big wins were great.

Second game went poorly, but there were moments where I had hope. I was fighting #AdMech Death Star of Kataphron Breachers. Death Shroud _almost_ took care of them, but almost isn’t enough.
Third game I finally had some luck, with my opponent conceding at the end of round 2. Going first round 1, anti-infantry flamers, and getting some key charges to kill a number of units really set me up well to dominate the middle, which guaranteed a big win.

My first match of the Tacoma Open Narrative Campaign was plagued (get it?) by incredibly bad luck, but I somehow managed to eek out a draw and a bit of a side agenda.
Here’s hoping my next match will go my way.
