  2. Last batch. With original #T2000 consists on lines 2, 7 and 13 (besides the usual diagrams on 5 and 9), it was a true heritage night on Zurich's tram network yesterday evening.

  3. More #T2000 on the 6. Also, I now finally have "collected" a picture of this class on every line. Except 10 and 12, of course, where the Glattalbahn contract prohibits the use of non accessible rolling stock.

  4. Zurich, last night. Chilly -2°, perceived -8° C . 🥶 Usually not the night to stroll around for hours until midnight. But it was one of the rare chances to photograph an original #T2000 on line 6 🟧!

  5. Apropos #T2000:

  7. Theseus2000 V 5.5 SP4 is out now. This release fixes a few crashes and errors relating to input processing. If you're running 5.5 SP1 or older, you will need to manually download this new version. Also, this is the last release to ship with an installer. All future releases from here on out will be portable only.

Please note: the new website for Theseus2000 is t2000.seediffusion.cc. However, for convenience, t2000.seedy.cc will continue to work for the time being.
The full change log for Theseus2000 can be found at t2000.seediffusion.cc/changes..

  8. Theseus2000 Seaview V 5.2 SP1 is out now! This release resolves both an issue where the program would crash if the web server identifier couldn't find any details for a website, and an issue where the auto updater would not delete the t2000.zip file after applying an update in portable mode. If you're running a portable copy of V 5.1 SP1 or higher, it is safe to auto update to this new version.

  9. Theseus2000 V 5.2 is out now. This release adds both a tool that tries to identify the web server on which a website is running, and a tool that retrieves the source code of any web page and saves it to a text file. Thanks to @symbian for the suggestions.
If you're running a portable copy of V 5.1 SP1, build 5105, It is safe to auto update to this new version. However, if you're running portable copies of V 5.1, build 5100, or V 5.0, build 5000, you will have to manually download this version.

  10. CW: 2 years of Theseus2000, a poll

For the few who use my proudest project, what is the first version of #T2000 you remember using? Do you remember when it would crash over really simple things and needed admin privileges to run? The days when it was just a speed tester and a couple other things?

    Choose your era.

  11. Today, September 5th, 2023, is Theseus2000's second birthday. And what better way to mark the occasion than with a new release! This small update, V 5.1SP1, fixes the sharing violation error you'd get when running the auto updater in portable mode.

A huge thank you to those who have used T2000 over the last 2 years! It really does mean a lot to me! Networking suites like T2000 are only really meant for the geeky few, but I believe they are something we can all benefit from, even if we only use a few of their tools.
Once again, thanks to the small number of you who have used and/or supported this project throughout these last 2 years. I couldn't have kept it alive without you. You may only be few, but you're the cool few! :)

  12. A new version of Theseus2000 Seaview is out. This version, V 5.1, includes validation checking for IP addresses in the subnet calculator, adds a link to the Theseus2000 website in Mastodon posts, and adds update progress sounds inspired by @daygar's KeyOp program.

Note: the portable updater seems to have a nasty sharing violation problem. If you use the portable version of T2000 and you get this error, let me know and I'll give you instructions on how to resolve it. I apologize in advance for any inconvenience this might cause.

  13. Theseus2000 V 5 Seaview is out! This new version allows T2000 to run fully portably, includes support for hostnames in IP Geo, changes the startup sound, adds a subnet calculator, and reduces the program's file size. Thanks to @BrailleScreen for inspiring me to add The subnet calculator, @TheQuinbox for providing the subnet calculator code snippet, and @Brynify (@Bryn) for helping out with the portable updater.

  14. CW: Theseus2000 Seaview development log 3

Thanks to a little help from @Brynify, the next version of Theseus2000 is now officially portable! This means you'll be able to carry the program around with you on a USB flash drive or SD card, and use its many powerful features wherever you are, with no need to install anything! Writing portable software is a huge step for me as a developer; I've always been so used to getting people to run installers in order to use my software, and full portability is something I've struggled with for quite a long time. With this in mind, I've decided to skip an entire version number, bumping Theseus2000 Seaview's version number up from V 4 to V 5. Also, a new subnet calculator tool, inspired by @BrailleScreen and based on a code snipit given by @TheQuinbox, is on its way to the program. #T2000 #Seaview

  15. CW: Theseus2000 Seaview development log 2

Theseus2000 V 4 will have a new startup sound. It's similar to the current one, but slowed down a bit, with slightly more reverb. #T2000 #Seaview

  16. CW: Theseus2000 Seaview development log 1

If my little plan works, the next version of Theseus2000, V 4, will be able to run fully portable! Technically the program has always been portable, but this wasn't officially supported by the auto updater. V 4 is also the first codenamed version of the program; the codename for this version is Seaview. #T2000 #Seaview

  17. The next version of Theseus2000 includes a small feature improvement inspired by @TheQuinbox, the ability to query hostnames with IP Geo instead of just IP addresses. Yes, soon you will no longer need to know an IP address specifically to get its location data. #T2000

  18. Theseus2000 V 3.8 has arrived! This release allows you to check any IPv4 or IPv6 address against a list of known malicious IP addresses via the AbuseIPDB repository.

  19. I'm currently working on adding #AbuseIPDB support to Theseus2000. If you're being denied access to parts of a website, or seeing more #CAPTCHA challenges than usual, you'll be able to check your IP against the AbuseIPDB database to see if it's been flagged. #T2000

  20. Theseus2000 V 3.7 SP1 is out. With this release, Golden IP Retriever now allows you to decide whether you want to get your IPv4 address, or your IPv6 address if you have one. Download: t2000.seedy.gq change log: t2000.seedy.gq/changes.html #T2000

  21. Theseus2000 V 3.7 is here. This update resolves a problem where copying WHOIS data would just copy an HTTP response header, and fixes a bug where certain menus would not repeat for screen reader users if they pressed an invalid key. Download: t2000.seedy.gq change log: t2000.seedy.gq/changes.html #T2000

  22. So soon after the last release, Theseus2000 V 3.6E SP2 is out! This release adds the ability for the Golden IP Retriever tool to perform a PTR lookup on your public IP and display both the IP address and the resulting PTR hostname, similar to an IRC client. This was another suggestion from @FreakyFwoof.
