Moral of the story seems to be that one's perpetual license lasts only as long as the company from which you purchase it does, or until it gets sold to another company -- if THAT long.
As someone who has bought digital products under "lifetime" deals, I note here that I am still alive, but most of these products are not.
Let the buyer beware, unless you're T-Mobile and can afford an expensive law suit.

Dann kann ich meine T-Mobile Prepaid SIM mit nem günstigen legacy Data-only Plan wohl bald in Rente schicken.
Well. On a positive note: musst dich nicht mehr ärgern weil sie nicht alle T-Mobile WiFi-Calling Endpunkte sauber allowlisted haben und die Support-Antworten dann doch sehr zu wünschen übrig lassen. - Das Schema wann sie nen SMS-Token senden ist irgendwie nicht so ganz deterministisch.

I have an old #Apple #iPhone SE and around June 1st it started randomly dying (i.e. I have bars, but the “LTE” keeps flickering on/off and I can’t call, text, or use apps). But now I’m back from Canada and my phone worked fine over there, so I’m suspecting that it’s a #TMobile issue in #PDX… Is anyone else running into a similar problem?

Some doofus put my email on their T-Mobile account and now T-Mobile is sending me all their account emails. When I contacted T-Mobile & asked them to stop emailing me they said they can't do that unless the account holder goes in-person to one of their stores.
Ridiculous incompetence. #tmobile
