I won't be blocking #Threads federation on #syringa. No, I don't love them, but federation is a good thing overall and users have the ability to block as they see fit.
Now... If content moderation becomes a huge issue here due to them, I'll reconsider. But for the foreseeable future I won't be making the decision for everyone on my server.

#Syringa vulgaris, #lilac, unknown cultivar. This was in grandma's garden, which she planted in the 1950s, so it's got to be a fairly old variety.

Love seeing orgs running their own instances on the fediverse. Though, that's really only an option for larger orgs.For the record, any Idaho news org is welcome here on #syringa at any time. I'm not one of those admins that is against (local/smaller) orgs using their instance.

Haven't seen the #Empididae flies with a weird mating behaviour, which these attract, this year yet.
