Rime Allaf: Many #Syrians remember the violent kidnappings of women under the ruthless Assads, but are turning a blind eye to such crimes today even though the extortion and humiliation methods of the past remain the same. Whether perpetrators were/are petty criminals or sectarian thugs, protecting all Syrian women and girls must be a priority and the punishment must fit the crime. ⚡️ Brick-Hartz: Since the cabinet approved plans to expand army operations in the #Gaza Strip, critical questions are automatically emerging about the catastrophic consequences expected:
1- Our living prisoners may die in the tunnels.
2- Many fighters will be killed, others will be seriously injured, and funerals will continue as we were in the past year and a half.
3- We will not defeat #Hamas, because the army is unable to resolve the battle.
4- With our failure, their heads will be raised more forcefully by both the #Houthis, the Turks, the #Syrians, #Hezbollah, and #Hamas, and we will find ourselves in a devastating displacement war.
5- We will lose our relations with most countries of the world, which will continue to accuse us of committing war crimes.
6- We will lose our economic capabilities. There will be no money to rehabilitate the army in light of growing threats.
7- In our weakness, we will lose President #Trump's interest in us as is already happening now, but he may stop aid for us.
8- Social deterioration inside #Israel will rise to a new level. All this is expected to happen because our leaders are not rational, they are separate from reality, and they are using the army as a tool to serve their interests.
Unfortunately, today's army is headed by a weak Chief of Staff, who does not have the courage to confront them with truth and explain to them the real and fragile situation of the army, which continues to collapse.
