    “... Several things stand out:
    1) the massive flow of the mighty Mississippi and Columbia River systems
    2) the paucity of major rivers in the western US, especially the southwestern US, where the only major rivers are the seriously over-tapped Colorado and Rio Grande Rivers
    3) the local importance of the Sacramento-San Joaquin Rivers in California, which serve the state’s cities and agricultural regions…”

  6. Saw a sticker on a truck today, red white and blue #Punisher skull with N19 on it. Not sure what that #N19 indicates.

  7. #Symbology is amazing with different sects of #society especially the subtle most secret that benefit #capitalistically and most #fascist... you see it so much with members of #capitalist #cults giving hand signals in music and other areas of #entertainment. If you know then you know...

  8. I see the RNZCGP logo (last one) is likely an evolution of the RCGP to which I must ask what the FUCK is up with your doctor's cat

(it is a lynx, and the spots indicate it is all-seeing)

  9. I'm kinda curious why"xoxoxo" is kisses and hugs.

It does not seem very intuitively obvious to me.

  10. #RandomThoughts
I can't believe that I made it all the way through #GraphicDesign school without anyone ever teaching us that the ampersand is meant to be a stylized version of the Latin word "et", which literally means "and".

I didn't learn that till social media was a thing.

  11. I keep seeing electrical #symbols in unexpected places. Do they have some alternate meanings I'm not aware of?

Most recently, various symbols for electrical grounding.

  12. Nice to see the colour vision simulator in #ArcGISPro 3.1.1, so you can test how your symbolised features, etc might look to colour blind people...

  13. Are we starting to see how slightly #heretical sacrifice #symbology (pop culture) is not a good icon for #Fediverse?

We are quite certain that if there was a better Fediverse icon, 25 times more people would have 'clicked that link'.

Please see variants #smashingStars and #BeAStar.

BOTH CAN BE IMPROVED — we'd do it if we could.

  14. Some progress on the squatting propaganda piece.

Anyone know whether my depiction of the squatter symbol is mucking up some of the #symbology?

All I know is that it depicts the flow of "You enter, you have ups and downs, and at some point you're evicted" and I'm not exactly finding a good explanation of the semantics behind this symbol. :P
