Hello there!
I'm a new PhD student freshly arrived in #Toulouse to work on plant-microbe interactions. My thesis will focus on the study of mycorrhizal and rhizobial #symbioses at the root #endodermis level.
On the side, I like to do #photography, discover new music (often #postrock) and play with computers and electronics (mostly #Linux and #Arduino).
Looking forward to exploring the Fediverse :)

Quick introduction:
I am #CNRS researcher working at the University of Toulouse in the south west of France.
My lab studies the interactions between plants and microbes. We are trying to understand the molecular mechanisms governing them, and how these mechanisms and the associated interactions evolve(d). We want to create new #symbioses
We use comparative phylogenomics and genetics in multiple plant species, including #Marchantia , combined with biochem.

I am a nature-lover, associate professor and Canada Research Chair #CRC at the University of Alberta in Edmonton. Our team here works on symbioses of #fungi with #algae, #bacteria and other fungi — and much revolves around understanding the composition, evolution and metabolic quid pro quo behind #lichen #symbiosis / #symbioses
Expect lots of lichen photos, but we'll kick off almost in season with Peniophora rufa
