OK. I have been updated by many on where we are with #Chatcontrol. Thank you to all who helped me. I guess that just as back in 2002 with the #swpat directive I will now go into hiding to work on amendments and injecting them into the sausage machine. The process has just started. If the common position is adopted, there will be a first reading in parliament and that is where we can make a real difference. The current fight focuses on not getting to that stage at all, which would be better.

I know times are tough, but imagine if they got tougher by having to deal with software patents in Europe?
I'd recommend supporting this FFII initiative, specially if you're in the business of writing software...
