Sword of the Sea (Multi, XP'd on PS5) Restore a dried up ocean world to its former glory as you surf along the land on a magic sword.

From the people that brought you Abzu, The Pathless, and Journey, SotS is the latest gem in their crown of gaming goodness. If you've played any of the previous games, you already have a good idea what to expect from SotS (and should have already played it TBH 😆 )

Basically, this is Journey x Tony Hawk. You travel this world as a Wraith on your Hoversword, your task to restore the various environments back to their ocean origins while pulling off sick tricks.

As usual for Giant Squid, the game is beautifully visually styled. The music is a perfect accompaniment, whatever the situation you are in. The once again non-speaking narrative is full of feels and expertly conveys them.

I've got 8hrs played to roll credits, so it's not all that long, even for me who likes to try and check off the beaten path areas. I did not get all the achieves, so I still missed stuff, lol.

This another great game from GS and I strongly encourage people to check it out. 👍 👍

Bin jetzt grade durch mit #SwordOfTheSea auf der #PS5 und kann es sehr empfehlen. Für mich lag der Schwerpunkt des Spiels auf der schönen Bewegung der Spielfigur. Das steuert sich einfach gut. Dazu sehr hübsche Landschaften und Musik.
Es sind allerdings nur so gut 3 Stunden Spielzeit gewesen.

Go play #SwordOfTheSea it's a really good game, very relaxing with a special sense of wonder, mostly because of the amazing audio-visual experience.

I finished #SwordOfTheSea last night.

Nice little 'one of those' type games that fits in well alongside the studios other works in #ABZU and #ThePathless.

It's a beautiful game to look at for sure, and the soundtrack is really something.

At the same time, I found the comparisons to #Journey to be a little skin-deep.

Yes it's got a desert. Yes it's got a little person that floats around said desert and yes, it's got a super chill vibe with beautiful scenery and a nice soundtrack....

But it didn't land with nearly as much weight.

That's not to say it's bad. It isn't. It's just lacking that social aspect that made Journey such a revelation a decade or so ago (fuck me, time eh?)

Grabbed #SwordOfTheSea on the PS5 because the Steamdeck performance isn't it. Negatives? I can't play it on the go. Positives? It's gonna look so fucking good on my nice TV.

#SwordOfTheSea is getting some solid reviews. Journey is obviously a marvel of a videogame, but I've also enjoyed Abzu and most recently The Pathless.

If this is as good as those games, we're in for a treat.

Es Sword of the Sea, de los creadores de Abzu y de #Journey, que he jugado recientemente gracias al #ClubDeComentacionVideojueguil de @kis, y que si no lo habéis jugado os recomiendo que lo hagáis ya mismo...

Y se nota, esos entornos TAN grandes y bonitos son marca de Thatgamecompany, y este tráiler me lo ha vendido del todo.

Quiero cetáceos voladores, quiero trucos sobre espadas levitantes, quiero saber de que va todo este juego, dita sea...
