Eminem is suing an Australian beach brand, saying its name creates a "false association" with him. Swim Shady sells beach umbrellas, bags, towels and shorts. Eminem trademarked the name "Slim Shady" in the U.S. in 1999 when he released "The Slim Shady LP," but did not do that until Jan. 2025 in Australia (the Swim Shady business launched in Dec. 2024).
