It could be worse Ruth. Thanks to #Section21 you could've been forced to move home and two businesses across the River Tamar!

Fortunately the weather was (too!) hot and dry when we were packing, and on the day(s) of the move. Since then it's been almost incessant rain!

Several unopened cardboard boxes got soaked when the front of our new double garage got flooded.

And to add insult to injury:

  4. Already seen one very obvious April Fool Day joke earlier this morning on the #CornwallLive website.

Here in #SWEngland there's always been a certain amount of rivalry between #Cornwall & #Devon.

When you have a #CreamTea (i.e. pot of tea and jam/cream on a scone), in #Cornwall the accepted norm is to put jam on the scone first then the cream on top. In #Devon it's the other way round, i.e. cream then jam.

The article said that the #UKGovernment had banned the Devonian method. 1/2

  5. The #birdsite is broken (again!) so the #fediverse has the honour of hosting the (almost) exclusive announcement that this morning we personally visited #Cornwall's largest #reservoir, cameras in hand:

At the beginning of March #Colliford Lake is currently less than 50% full and declining, revealing all sorts of eery evidence of earlier human habitation:

An inevitable #drought in store for #SWEngland in the summer of 2023?
