A striped sweat bee!

I know it's a terrible photo as it's blown up and pixelated (so don't zoom in!) but this was such a lovely tiny little guy, I had to take a photo to share. I was so excited to find him.

For day 5 of #SciArtSeptember prompt corridor I am sharing the pollinator garden work which I made for my show about the future of pollination for Manufactured Ecosystems. Augochlura pura (Halictidae) in my garden today. I think she has plans on nesting in my terracotta strawberry planter even though it's not a rotting log, their usual choice.
