I always liked the pallet of copics you can use in the older Sketchbook, so I made a pallet to be used in other programs. I have .aco, .cls, .gpl, and .kpl pallet/swatch formats so that should cover most art programs.

I created a blanket with all the textured knitted swatches I've knit this year. It's the size of a lap blanket is quite heavy. The yarn is an acrylic/cotton blend I found here in Chiang Mai.

A #purple would make a completed secondary triad with the orange and brighter greens so it's a reasonable choice. Every time I try a dab of a purple, it goes quickly, but then I mix up a purple if I don't have one.

While rummaging for gold ochre, I found another black - bloodstone genuine. I was feeling ready to set up an indoor palette but instead I cleaned up stuff and then since I'd found the two gold ochres I did swatching and tried them both with French ultramarine to see what I remembered about them making a double granulating non-green. #Watercolor #Watercolorpainting #WorldWatercolorMonth #swatches #granulation

Experimenting with mixing. This is Daniel Smith Sleeping Beauty #Turquoise with some different yellows, transparent red oxide and perm. alizarin crimson. At the bottom with transparent orange. And with a black. Nicely granulating. #WaterColor #watercolorpainting #swatches #paint #colors

Today I made #swatches of my two inks from the other week. #pilot #iroshizuku hotaru-bi and hana-ikada. I had some real troubble finding a close ink in my collection to the hotaru-bi but found some close to the pale pink of the hana-ikada.

Also: Hot tip: If you have a fav paper you use most of the time, use it for swatches too. That way the ink will show up the same way in your swatches as on your pages ✒️👍🙂

I sacrificed a rhodia dot pad for these 😉

Had five of the colors in other brands and some of them were notably more intense. And the daVinci perylene green was greener. And can I just say I still don't much like Viridian but wowza the granulation. Was surprised that only one listed a different pigment. #watercolor #swatching #Comparisons #swatches
