@Mikal If people have a choice, they will. #Swastilink is often the only available provider… typically I assume by default because they’ve bribed govts to not allow competition.

@Mikal #Starlink was an issue in the provincial #Ontario election last week - @fordnation said he would tear up the $100M deal he signed last November when tariffs were announced but it was back on after a pause was announced. Tariffs are back on but the deal is also still on, apparently.
A Canadian alternative through #Telesat should be online next year.

I just came up with that as well, looking to see if anyone else had. It really needs to be a thing #SwastiLink

How many Tesla customers are there versus Starlink customers? Boycotting and disconnecting from #Swastilink should also be a priority, but I don't hear much about it.

There are other satellite Internet companies, though I realize that some areas aren't served by them. It's also a little harder to have demonstrations because it's not like there are Starlink dealerships to protest in front of.
