I had an excellent #Swapfest: I sold *eight* 486 Compaq laptops, watched dozens of people enjoy Super Mario Bros., and made one person very happy by selling them a 24" Toshiba CRT television.
I met the people who refurbished and were selling all the Sony Mavica floppy disk cameras last year! They're super nice and bought a weird camera from me.

In addition to Soooooo Many Compaq's, I will be attempting to clear space by selling at tomorrow's #Swapfest (https://w1mx.mit.edu/flea-at-mit/) in #Cambridge, MA.
Would you like a bright Toshiba CRT television? RF input only, but that's still good for '80s consoles. $20 or reasonable offers/trades.
Even if you don't want to buy it, come by, say hello, and play Super Mario Bros!

Does anyone in the #Boston #Retrocomputing community want a DOZEN <sigh> Compaq LTE Elite 4/xx laptops, of various processor speeds and RAM configurations? The three I knew about previously and have already tested all powered on and would boot to DOS. I have found numerous more, all stored in similar configurations, so I can hope they'll also work. I'll have time to at least power test them on Saturday, selling them Sunday. "Selling" may also mean "giving away."

@BigBadBiologist gifted me a Geforce 4 MX card from his bin at the last #Swapfest, and I have now had the time to open up my Graphite tower and install it.
I'd been looking to replace the Rage 128 card that was already there with something that offered DVI out, since my monitor only has one VGA input and I have older machines that use it, too.
First boot up with the new card (that I did not think to photograph) failed with errors, but a reboot went flawlessly and gave me this lovely desktop.

I'll be attending the MIT #Swapfest this Sunday, June 21st! I'm looking for an AGP video card with DVI output for my Macintosh G4 tower, a few Wii Classic Controllers, and I'd love to finally find a copy of "Guardian Legend" for the NES.
But mostly I'm going because it's fun to walk around and chat with people and see weird and cool things. If you want to say hello, I'm the large (just under 2 m), middle-aged man wearing this hat.

But if anyone wants three top-of-the-line Compaq 486 laptops, with tons of RAM, dead floppy drives, and one functional hard drive between them? Make me an offer!
