Well Swancon 50 has seen a lot of blasts from the past! The guest banquet was good, our table had Grant Stone and Tom Becker and Leigh Edmonds and a SF radio guy from Adelaide whose name I don't recall so talk was of fanzines and radio.

Wandered around after talking, had a game of Wombat Poo, and @rdm was shocked to learn he's been short listed for a Ditmar and twoTin Ducks, he hadn't been informed, and only found out by reading the con book.

Bedtime now.

Both were for "The Infinite Library" - a little story kiosk project I thought up one evening, loaded up with all the little bits of fiction I have shared here.

Inside the library-shaped shell is a Raspberry Pi3 and a M02 thermal printer, along with some scripts that I wrote to randomly print a story on the press of a button concealed as a part of the roof.

I received the "Judges Selection" and "Technical Innovation" prizes.

Lucas Findling, the Perth based designer of Raidents the boardgame, was good enough to come and demo his new game at Swancon this year.

It's an excellent game, very tactical, somewhat likened to playing chess with grenades. I enjoyed it thoroughly and recommend it.
