I watched #Suzume during my show day. A story about a girl must save her home from a mystical worm that will cause devastating earthquakes.
Gorgeous. Gorgeous movie. So much meticulous detail in every frame. This is a big reason to watch this movie in the first place.
But also watch it for the story. There is alot tht happens. With a well balanced pace. And it's worth following. So well told.
I dont know how to say it better. It is work a watch.

#KimiNoNaWa (#YourName) producer (and also #Suzume and #TheGardenOfWords), Koichiro Ito, sexually exploited over 100 underaged girls and was only sentenced to 6 years in prison. Everything is better in "Place, Japan" except for their outdated laws I suppose.

We watched Makoto Shinkai's #Suzume #film.
And loved it! It's funny and lighthearted when it needs to be but also profound and deeply affecting when it reaches its conclusion.
For a country like Japan that lives with constant earthquakes/tsunami it is a really interesting sublimation of their collective fears and their determination to rebuild and carry on.
It also presents a not so subtle parallel to Kiki's delivery service in being a coming of age film of sorts.Really great watch! 😍

Der Manga zu #Suzume ist erschienen. 📚
Der Stil ist chaotischer als der vom Film. Suzume steht es sehr gut und Sōta wirkt wie ein anderer Mensch. 😆 Das ist faszinierend.
Die Begegnung von Suzume und Chika habe ich sehr gerne noch einmal gelesen. Die beiden Mädchen sind super süß zusammen. ❤️
Bisher ist der Manga nah am Original. Ich bin gespannt, ob es noch zusätzliche Szenen geben wird, wie bei Your Name.
Den Roman muss ich auch noch lesen. 🙈 -

No ale jest i tym samym moja blu-rayowa kolekcja filmów Shinkaia Makoto jest kompletna. Nie mogę się doczekać oglądania dodatków!

[EN] I got back from Japan yesterday, so here are the things I just had to get. As a huge fan of Shinkai Makoto’s, I had no other choice but to buy the artbook and the OST for “Suzume”, as well as the official novelizations of “The Garden of Words”, “Weathering with You” and “Suzume”. I also got “Kimitachi wa dō ikiru ka” — the novel which inspired Miyazaki Hayao to make his latest film (titled after the book) — and “Uzumaki” by Itō Junji, because the Polish translation has gone out of sale and is extremely hard to find in an acceptable price. Except for the artbook and the manga, all these things come from a chain of second-hand shops 👌🏻

Wczoraj wróciłem z japońskiego urlopu, więc dzielę się moimi fanowskimi zdobyczami. Jako psychofan Shinkaia Makoto oczywiście musiałem zaopatrzyć się w artbook i płytę ze ścieżką dźwiękową z „Suzume” oraz w powieściowe adaptacje „Ogrodu słów”, „Tenki no ko” i „Suzume”. Do tego „Kimitachi wa dō ikiru ka”, czyli powieść, która zainspirowała Miyazakiego podczas tworzenia ostatniego filmu (pod tym samym tytułem) i manga „Uzumaki”, bo znaleźć ją w ludzkiej cenie w Polsce graniczy z cudem. Wszystko poza artbookiem i mangą znalezione w sklepach z książkami i płytami z second-handu 👌🏻

So far there's no cringy boob-nonsense #fanservice, no unconsensual groping or other disgusting shite that made it impossible to recommend lots of his stuff before!
